Timing is everything. A great design and visual look of your stage will make viewers remember your event. But when it comes to transporting emotions and moments, tight and effective programming is just as important.
A lot of shows today are still executed in an oldschool way. While flashing and moving lights live might still be necessary for a classic Rock'n'Roll show, most shows are more or less timed exactly to the second every evening. And with performance being so consistent, surroundings should also be exactly on time to level up the shows energy even more. We want to provide fully timed and thought through lighting shows, that will hit your audience with big looks just at the right time, while not missing out on the smallest details and moments.
For this we can offer various types of gear, as well as support when dealing with timecode being added to a show. Or maybe if you don't really have a timed concept for your show yet, we can help you structure your event.
All programming is done prior to the event. As soon as you decide on a general look for your stage and send us audio tracks or the event's timetable, we will start programming your show from home. This method of extreme preparations saves a lot of time in building your event and following rehearsals. Therefore we can work closer together with you or your artist when on site, looking at small details and creating a show experience that will leave you and your audience speechless.
For lighting programming we are using industry standard software and hardware. After programming and finalizing a show, a wide network of partner LD's will be available to execute it, even if J.Design personally can not be there. This makes it very easy to have constant quality no matter where in the world your show will be. Tourshows that were programmed in Europe can be used all around the world, to make your lighting work 100% the way you wanted it to at all times and places.

Plugin Programming
Using exclusive programmed Plugins on our prefered lighting consoles grandMA2 and grandMA3 (made by MA Lighting Germany) is what makes our workflow so powerful. Programming of big setups can be done in a very short time, making nights full of programming obsolete. When arriving at a event location we can have a show up and running within just minutes.
